Bill Charlaps new album includes The Duke
Pianist Bill Charlap returns to Blue Note with Street of Dreams, a new album featuring his longstanding trio with Peter Washington (bass) and Kenny Washington (drums).
Street of Dreams is a celebration of New York City as it emerges from an unprecedentedly challenging period, as reflected in the eight impeccably curated songs on the album, a delightful mix of jazz classics and Songbook favorites.
The album features Dave's jazz standard "The Duke", which was written as a tribute to Duke Ellington. The Trio has released the track as a single ahead of the album release on November 12, 2021.
