All Music Guide – CD - Review – copyright
For this historic LP, the Dave Brubeck Quartet met with The New York Philhamonic under the direction of Leonard Bernstein for a program subtitled "Bernstein Plays Brubeck Plays Bernstein." Together they perform Howard Brubeck's sidelong "Dialogues for Jazz Combo and Orchestra" along with five Bernstein songs (including four from West Side Story). This is one of the more successful "Jazz Meets the Symphony" ventures and deserves to be reissued on CD.
